Jose says he will be back at Inter in three years, reveals club chief... but don't worry Chelsea fans, we think he's targeting the 2016 Champions League final at San Siro
Jose Mourinho is planning a return to the San Siro in three years, according to Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti, though Chelsea fans needn't fear too much.
The news may initially alarm supporters who are hoping the second coming of the Portuguese manager will prove to be a long and fruitful spell.
And while there could be more than a hint of interest on Mourinho's part to return to where he won the treble, it is believed the comments are a reference to the 2016 Champions League final, likely to be held at the Milanese stadium.
Mourinho made history in Italy by winning the league, cup and Champions League in 2010 before leaving for Real Madrid and subsequently Chelsea.
Upon haring of his return to Stamford Bridge, Moratti has revealed he called up his former manager to congratulate him, telling La Stampa: 'I called Mourinho to wish him the best for his return to Chelsea. What did Jose say? He said we’ll meet again at Inter in three years.'
Mourinho signed a four-year contract with Chelsea in the summer and has given indications that he is thinking about staying with the club for the long-term.
